Who answers the phone?

Evercall answers in your business name — not a call centre, not someone pretending to be you. Every call starts with a recording notice (required in Australia). They hear your business, get booked in, and you get the details by text.

Does this replace my normal phone?

No. Keep using your mobile like you always do. When you can't answer — or you've diverted for the night — Evercall picks up so the job doesn't die in voicemail.

Forward your calls to Evercall when you need cover (knock-off, already on a job, whatever). Turn the divert off when you're free again. On most phones it's a short code or a switch in your carrier app. Takes about a minute once you've done it once.

What if I can't do the job tonight?

We ask how urgent it is. Burst pipe / water everywhere gets booked for tonight or first thing. Something that can wait gets noted or booked for a daytime slot — you tell us how you want that handled when we set you up.

How much does it cost?

Common divert questions

Text CFU ON followed by the divert number to 144 (for example CFU ON 0400123456). To cancel, text CFU OFF to 144. You can also dial **21*number*10# then Call, and ##21# to cancel.

To divert all calls on Optus, dial **21* followed by the full divert number and #, then tap Call. To cancel, dial ##21#. You can also manage diversions in the My Optus app under Voicemail and call diversions.

Dial **21* followed by the divert number and #, then Call. To cancel unconditional divert, dial #21#. If that fails, try ##21#.

Most solo emergency plumbers divert all calls at knock-off or when they cannot answer mid-job, so customers do not hit voicemail and ring the next Google listing.
